Libur telah tiba..yeeeyyyy!! Ini blog ter'penting' yang pernah saya buat. Ceritanya tanggal 29 juni kemaren hari terakhir ngajar di term kedua. FYI, di Ausi ini sistem pendidikan beda banget sama di Indo. Dalam satu tahun terdiri dari empat term (@2.5 bulan). We always have two weeks holiday after 2.5 months teaching. Biasanya setiap sekolah suka ngadain party gitu deh. Biasalah buat celebrating hari terakhir sekolah sekaligus mempererat tali silaturahmi antar guru dan staf.
I went to Wangaratta for celebrating the last day teaching with Benalla East Primary School (BEPS) staff and teachers. We played Ten Pin Bowling and dinner after. One of the additional teacher, Lou, was picking me up . She asked me to go with her since a month ago. The funny thing was I just didn't get what Ten Pin bowling is. Jadi waktu Lou ngajak maen bowling, dengan sigapnya saya bilang oke I'm in. Padahala saya ngga tau permainan apa itu.ahhah..kalo kata kang Edwar (teman seperjuangan di Ausi), kita bisa dibilang 'yes man'. Kalau ada yang ngajak kemana-mana pasti selalu bilang oke. Haha..
6 hours before playing :
Bernie (guru bahasa Indonesia di BEPS) : Muti, akan ikut bermain bowling?
Me : Iya Bu, pasti dong..
Bernie : Sudah pernah main sebelumnya?
Me : hmm..belum Bu, saya bahkan tidak tahu ten pin bowling itu permainan apa.
Bernie : Itu permainan dengan bola. Kamu bisa melempar bola dengan tangan dan bola itu diarahkan ke ten pins.
Me : Is it a normal bowling?
Bernie : yes.
Me : (zzziiiing....)
Silly me! I just had realized six hours before playing. Jadi inget waktu jaman SMP dulu suka baca komik Jepang judulnya 'Bowling King'. Ceritanya tentang anak-anak yang jadi master bowling gitu deh. So lumayan ada gambaranlah gimana cara maennya.heuheu..
Ngomong-ngomong soal biaya, it wasn't expensive. The cost for one session was about $7.20 included the shoes. To play bowling, we need a special shoes like this :
Hmmm..it's time choosing a ball. There were many different balls with different colors and weights. I had to take one which is not too heavy. I chose the yellow one which was the smallest ball and wasn't too heavy for me. The ball had three holes for the fingers. So I had to put the point and middle fingers on the top and the thumb under them.

My group consisted on three players : Carmel, Celeste, and me. Each person had 10 chances throwing the ball to the ten pins.

For the beginner player like me, it was not too bad. I got two strikes from 10 chances. Yah..ngga malu-maluin bangetlah ya. Everything begins from here. Segala naluri ingin mencoba segalanya baru tereksplor.
